What a devine mix of food!! 😋 We had a half & half platter, crispy yuca, lumpia, coco plantains, and a sample of the roast beef sandwich. Can't wait to go back! All food was served hot and was flavorful and delicious. Food left a little bit of an afterburn, but it was worth it; and I'm not really one for spicy food. The peach blossom tea was delicious with real peach puree added. Dining room is simple and was hot inside, so we sat outside for a breeze. The only thing they should try to improve on is having all the food delivered at once or the apps first. Everything came out one at a time and at varying times, the main dish being the first thing brought out.

We’ve been dying to try this place on our next trip north. It definitely did not disappoint. This place was worth the 3.5 hr from DC. The owners and Jaycee were so kind, welcoming and helpful when ordering. We ordered a lot! The portions for the plates were huge. Value was not an issue. We got a little bit of everything. Appetizers, main course and drinks. The food was well seasoned and came out fresh and hot. We will definitely be back again and highly recommend this spot when driving through or to Jersey.

What the crazy portions are these? Each dinner order easily feeds three, or two big eaters. We got the half/half of the jerk chicken and pork. The brisket. Then the plantain with sliced jack fruit. Holy smokes, we didnt even break the surface and were all full. The people there are super friendly and welcoming. The place is almost a in business now, but looks like they've been around for decades, but thats a good thing. Nice atmosphere, without being overly noisy, because people are busy stuffing their faces. If youre a couple, one item is more than enough for two. We will return again.

10/10 experience! I arrived at Bonney's Jamaican Filipino Barbecue around 5 PM by myself to get a head start. Right from the moment I walked in, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I placed my order and let them know I had five friends meeting me shortly. Once my group arrived and ordered, the hospitality somehow got even better. The chef actually came out to our table and brought us extra food and drinks, which was such an amazing and generous touch! They had an incredibly diverse array of music playing that set the perfect vibe for the night. We ended up staying until almost closing time—just eating, laughing, and talking. It was an amazing time. My only wish is that we could’ve stayed longer and eaten even more! Highly recommend.

I had such a great experience at Bonney’s BBQ in Metuchen. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious. The oxtail was whoa — incredibly flavorful, tender, and the kind of dish you keep thinking about after you leave. The cheesy pineapple lumpia was another standout — sweet, savory, crispy, and totally addictive. Beyond the food, the staff was so kind and welcoming. They treated us like family from the moment we walked in, which made the whole experience even better. Amazing food, great atmosphere, and genuinely warm service. I highly recommend checking out Bonney’s BBQ if you’re in the area!
